When it comes to workouts, because I am a pulmonary embolism survivor, I prefer rebounding. Rebounding keeps the immune system, cardiovascular system, and lungs strong. As a person ages, staying healthy is *IMPERATIVE*. You gotta move it or lose it. It is also amazing for steps and weight loss. I try to do at least 12k steps and 40 minutes or more on the rebounder every single day. From the Leaps & Rebounds site (my preferred brand): "Rebounding Is the Perfect Blend of Strength and Cardio Exercise One of the main reasons why rebounding is so effective at helping people lose weight is because it provides both a cardio workout and muscle building. This allows you to burn more calories (and ultimately lose more weight) than if you just did one or the other. Not only that, but rebounding helps to build stronger bones, improve balance, and it strengthens your core. It truly is the ideal total-body workout."
