Added 2023-01-02 00:55:25 +0000 UTCSpent all day doing all I could to keep this little one alive (see right) - It was a stressful day of trying to get her to nurse, and after many mama rejections, and then failing to take the bottle, we started to consider if we should attempt a feeding tube… which is a Hail Mary effort that has a low survival rate. But!!! She finally latched on her mama at sunset and got her first meal and first round of colostrum (which is vital to immunity and survival, with a short window to receive it). Hoping Rosie will learn to be a good mother and keep baby January safe, healthy, and fed. Oh ps I live on a farm *in case you didn’t know*
