Meals & Views from my amazing stay at Playa Viva, Mexico. 🌴🥑
Each morning consisted of sunrise yoga...🌞 followed by a four course breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Everything cooked was grown and harvested on site or locally.. I fell in love with every dish served to say the least🤤

Are You Breathing Wrong ?🤓🤔
MOST OF US do not “breathe into” our entire body, but instead ONLY expand the upper chest (missing out on the actual death of our breath).
OR we expand our belly and neglect the rib cage and upper abdomen expansions (missing out on the height of our breath).
& MOST OF US “breathe into” the front body (missing the sides and back/ width of our breath).
Basically, we end up breathing into regions of our body, but not filling our whole body.
The reason we do this is because it’s not only difficult to get a full deep breath, but it can be scary... stress and last trauma can make it hard for any of us to access our full breath.
This fast-paced, stressful life often leads to shortness of breath and even unintentionally holding of your breath🤭

These next few days I want to talk to you about why your breath is so important, and what “Prana” is (aka life force). 🌿
According to yoga tradition, prana rules over the five senses, causing them to weaken if it is not present. But it also rules over the whole body and it is believed that if any part of the body isn’t functioning well it is likely prana-deficient. 🤍
Prana is the energy that rides on the breath.
It is sometimes mistakenly referred to as the breath itself, but we can be constantly breathing while lacking life force.
Prana is what we DO with our breath that either increases or decreases prana.
